PRODUCT DIRECTOR

R&M Equipment Rentals LLC is searching for a Product Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, including product development, quality assurance and technical analysis
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to enhance product reliability
  • Draft policies and procedures for coordinating daily operations
  • Oversee the product portfolio to strengthen offerings
  • Gather data and input on product attributes, needs, problems, competitor’s products, and end-user data
  • Perform construction product specification analysis and benchmarking result analysis to derive sales points
  • Assess industry offerings and engineering trends to advise OEMs and tailor the product portfolio
  • Review financial and sales data to manage budgeting and resource allocation
  • Plan sales, marketing and discount programs
  • Monitor relationships with OEMs to ensure efficiency
  • Analyze customer feedback by utilizing QFD (Quality Function Deployment) methods
  • Organize the communication of product features and technical documents to effectively plan work and ensure alignment with design specifications
  • Liaise with manufacturers to manage product quality and inventory
  • Lead product experience events for customers to elevate product placement
  • Recommend design changes to improve quality, control costs and reduce product defects
  • Organize and oversee product training events
  • Make recommendations to executives for sales and marketing options
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s, or equivalent, in mechanical engineering or business administration is required. An educational equivalency evaluation of the degree as prepared by a credentials evaluation service is acceptable.
  • Two years of experience as any type of manager or director is required.

Schedule:
Mon–Fri; 40 hours/wk.

AFTERMARKET PURCHASING DIRECTOR

R&M Equipment Rentals LLC is searching for an Aftermarket Purchasing Director.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and execute purchasing and procurement policies, strategies and procedures
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with logistics and finance
  • Plan and manage the work of the purchasing function
  • Evaluate vendor performance and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Assess business operations needs and relevant costs
  • Review sales and marketing reports
  • Manage departmental budget and cost optimization
  • Oversee pricing strategy and matrix updates
  • Analyze market trends and competitor positioning
  • Identify new vendor opportunities
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Review slow-moving inventory and develop action plans
  • Generate sales forecasts and inventory reports
  • Prepare bids for equipment and supplies
  • Negotiate proposals for purchasing and services from third parties
  • Handle customer relationships and escalations
  • Communicate with colleagues on accounting, personnel, budgetary and administrative matters
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes
  • Keep abreast of changes in the field

Requirements:

  • Four years of experience as any type of purchasing manager, operations manager, or sales manager is required
